Athletics & Fitness: Building Healthy Habits for Life
At Manhattan Charter Schools, we believe that health and fitness are essential to fostering well-rounded, thriving students. Our athletics program provides opportunities for all students to participate in sports, build teamwork skills, and develop lifelong healthy habits.
In partnership with various community programs such as VOLO and the Charter School Athletics League, we offer engaging after-school sports programs and competitive leagues. From skill-building clinics to exciting team competitions, our program encourages students to stay active, build confidence, and embrace a spirit of perseverance.
Beyond athletics, our comprehensive health and fitness education curriculum equips students with the knowledge and tools to make informed choices about their physical and mental well-being. Together, we’re preparing students to lead active, balanced lives both in and out of the classroom.
Join us in fostering a culture of health, wellness, and community!

MCS JV Athletics Family Commitment
As a parent/guardian, I recognize that athletics is a commitment for both my student, my family, and
myself. I understand the importance of supporting my students in balancing academics, athletics, and
personal responsibilities, and I commit to encouraging their growth, teamwork, and dedication. I also
acknowledge that this commitment includes a significant investment of time and travel. I am prepared
to make the necessary arrangements to attend practices, games, and events, understanding that these
experiences are valuable to my student’s development. I will strive to contribute positively to their
athletic experience, ensuring that our family’s schedule aligns with the demands of their athletic
commitments.
