Clever

Manhattan Charter Schools utilizes Clever to streamline access to essential learning resources for students and their families. Through Clever, parents can easily connect to their child’s educational platforms, such as learning management systems and digital tools, all in one secure and user-friendly portal. This simplifies the process of staying engaged with their child’s academic progress and ensures quick, reliable access to the resources they need to support learning at home. By integrating Clever into our educational framework, we foster seamless communication and collaboration between school and home.

Intervention Tools

Math: Zearn

Zearn Math: Zearn is an online math curriculum (coupled with live whole- and small-group instruction) for grades one through eight , with supplemental skills practice activities for kindergartens.

Reading: NWEA Reading Fluency with AI Coach

Reading Fluency: Aligned to the science of reading, this solution assesses a student’s reading level and places them in a personalized 1:1 reading tutoring pathway based on where they are in their reading journey.

Science: Penda Learning

Penda Learning: https://manhattanchPenda Learning offers high-quality science instruction and intervention resources, with 950+ activities aligned to your scope and sequence, gamified learning, and auto-graded assessments.

SumDog

Sumdog Math and Spelling questions are fully aligned to the key state standards. Teachers and parents can set practice around specific skills or allow Sumdog to help children master their learning and progress. Please login through your child’s Clever account to access. 

Epic is a free online reading platform program with thousands of books for your scholar to choose from during school hours, as well as outside of them. Please login through your child’s Clever account to access. 

Scratch is the world’s largest coding community for children and a coding language with a simple visual interface that allows young people to create digital stories, games, and animations. Please login through your child’s Clever account to access.

Duolingo is a personalize language tutor that provides lessons focus on a real-life goal — for instance, ordering at a restaurant. Learners develop the vocabulary and grammar needed to achieve that goal through lots of varied practice in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Dismissal Changes

No Pick-Up Policy

Manhattan Charter School has a no student pick-up policy when the school is at lunch and recess. Any parents wishing to pick up their child between these hours must make prior arrangements with the Family Relations and Attendance Coordinator and the student’s teacher.
MCS 1 11:00am-1:00 pm
MCS 2 11:30am-1:30 pm

Early Pick Up Policy

If a parent or guardian must occasionally pick up their child early, they will be accommodated only until 2:30 pm. Early pick-ups must take place in the main office. Please note: we will not be able to bring students to the main office for early pick up after 2:30 p.m.
