Middle School Expansion

Our Expansion: Manhattan Charter Schools  is transitioning our Manhattan Charter School II campus into a Middle School. This was approved by our Authorizer SUNY last year in May 2024. MCS II currently has its inaugural 6th grade class. Next school year we will be adding a 7th grade class and transiting 2nd grade to MCS I. MCS II will serve grades 3 – 7 for the 2025-26 school year. This transition will allow us to provide an exceptional elementary school experience at MCS I. In tandem, beginning in the 2025-26 school year, MCS I will serve students in grades Kindergarten through 4th grade only. Starting in the 2025-2026 school year MCS I we will be removing 5th grade. All 5th grade students will be moved to MCS II.

Strategic Plan

At Manhattan Charter Schools, we have developed a Strategic Plan. A Strategic Plan is a roadmap that outlines a school’s vision, goals, and priorities for achieving success over the next three to five years. It serves as a guide to align the efforts of educators, staff, families, and the community in fostering student achievement, enhancing school culture, and improving operational efficiency. The plan is developed collaboratively, taking into account the needs of the school community and using data-driven insights to set clear objectives. By focusing on areas such as academic excellence, equity, student well-being, and community engagement, the strategic plan ensures that resources and initiatives are thoughtfully directed to create a thriving, inclusive learning environment for all students.
