How to Enroll
Applying to MCSI is simple. Here’s how the process works:
- Submit your free online application for Kindergarten, 1st, or 2nd grade.
- If more applications come in than we have seats, we hold a public lottery.
- Families who receive an offer complete registration and attend orientation.
- Although applications are accepted throughout the year, we encourage families to apply as early as possible so their child has the best chance for placement.

- Seat Offers Sent: April 9, 2026

Who Can Apply
Enrollment at MCSI is open to all New York City residents entering K–2. There are no tests, interviews, or tuition fees—MCSI is a public charter school open to everyone.
Kindergarten applicants must be 5 years old by December 31, 2025.
